Any information you provide to, or that is collected by, a third-party may be subject to the privacy policies of those third-parties, if any. We encourage you to read such privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit. It is the sole responsibility of such third parties to adhere to any applicable restrictions on the disclosure of your personally-identifying information, and Cardagin shall not be liable for wrongful use or disclosure of your personally-identifying information by any third party. We encourage you to carefully review the privacy policies of any websites you visit.

By using Cardagin, you represent that you are at least 14 years of age and consent to the privacy practices described in this privacy policy, as may be modified by us from time to time.

Cardagin is not intended for use by children under 14. What personal information does Cardagin collect?

As used herein, the term “personally-identifying information” means information that specifically identifies an individual (such as a name, address, telephone number, mobile number, e-mail address, or other account name or number), and information about that individual’s location or activities, when directly linked to personally-identifying information. Personally-identifying information also includes demographic information such as date of birth, gender, geographic area, and preferences when such information is linked to other personal information that identifies you. We may also combine the information we collect from you with information about you that we receive from other online and offline sources, such as from our merchant partners, in order to provide you with a better experience and to improve the quality of the Service.

Cardagin stores all information that registered users opt to provide to Cardagin for the purpose of creating an account. In order to give you, our merchant partners, and our group administrators the best experience from the Service, we will share certain personally-identifying information with our merchant partners and group administrators when you engage in any transaction on Cardagin. Examples of a “transaction” include receiving loyalty points or redeeming a reward or offer. When you engage in a transaction on Cardagin, you opt in to (1) join that merchant partner’s loyalty program, (2) receive “Shouts” and mobile alerts from that merchant partner for a period of 180 days from the date of the transaction, and (3) allow Cardagin to share your name and transaction history with that merchant partner. When you elect to join a group on Cardagin, you also opt in to (1) receive special offers and announcements specific to the particular group and (2) receive “Shouts” and mobile alerts from that group. In addition, when looking up one of their customers to award points or redeem a reward or offer, we do allow our merchant partners the ability to search our database for mobile numbers associated with an individual customer. We do not however give our merchant partners or group administrators access to your personally-identifying information in any other way, except as specifically stated in this Privacy Policy. Moreover, we will not sell personally-identifying information to any third-party without your consent.

Personally identifying information does not include “aggregate” information, which is data we collect about the use of Cardagin or about a group or category of products, services, or users, from which individual identities or other personally-identifying information has been removed. In other words, information about how you use a service may be collected and combined with information about how others use the same service. Aggregate data helps us understand trends and our users’ needs so that we can better consider new features or otherwise tailor our Service. This privacy policy in no way restricts or limits our collection and use of aggregate information.

How will Cardagin use the personal information it receives?

We may collect certain information you voluntarily provide to us which may contain personally-identifying information. For instance, from time to time we may collect demographic, contact, or other personal information you provide in connection with your participation in promotional offers and other activities. However, Cardagin does not disclose such personally-identifying information to any third parties, except as specifically stated in this Privacy Policy.

We only associate personally-identifying information with location data after we receive permission for us to do so – e.g. completing a transaction such as redeeming an offer, redeeming a reward, following a business through “Shouts,” or joining a “Group.”

We do not collect, maintain, or track your location history. We do not enable or allow location tracking in any form.

You understand that when you use Cardagin, it may be possible to post certain information to third party sites such as Facebook® or Twitter® through the mobile app. This data may be shared with other users and posted in publicly available portions of these third party sites. Cardagin has no control of your data once you choose to post it, and you should be aware that location data and other information that you post may be publicly available and can potentially be viewed by anyone.

You also understand that when you apply for membership in a private group within Cardagin, the group administrator will be given your personal information in order for them to verify your eligibility for membership. The group administrators are third parties, and are not in any way managed by Cardagin; therefore, any information you provide to the group administrator may be subject to the privacy policies of those third parties, if any. It is the sole responsibility of such third parties to adhere to any applicable restrictions on the disclosure of your personally-identifying information, and Cardagin shall not be liable for wrongful use or disclosure of your personally-identifying information by any third party.

Aggregate information and location data may be shared with carriers, service providers, and other third parties in accordance with the provisions of this privacy policy. If the location data is shared with carriers, service providers, and other third parties, it will be done so in a way to keep your anonymity. Location data will not be shared in such a way as to be personally-identifying.

In some cases, we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, user information is typically one of the business assets that is transferred. Moreover, if Cardagin or substantially all of its assets are acquired, or in the unlikely event that Cardagin goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur and that any acquirer of Cardagin may continue to use your personally-identifying and non-personally-identifying information only as set forth in this Privacy Policy. Otherwise, Cardagin will never rent or sell personally-identifying or potentially personally-identifying information to anyone.

Other than to its employees, agents, contractors, and affiliated organizations, or as described above, Cardagin discloses personally-identifying and potentially personally-identifying information only when required to do so by law, or when Cardagin believes in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of Cardagin, third parties, or the public at large.

If you are a registered user of Cardagin and have supplied your email address, Cardagin may occasionally send you an email to tell you about new features, solicit your feedback, or just keep you up to date with what’s going on with Cardagin and our products.
